Our Story

Kingston Carriage House


Nineteenth-century architectural details meld seamlessly with modern design at Kingston Carriage House, creating an elegant escape rooted in history. Each room is thoughtfully curated to provide a unique experience, ensuring no two stays are alike.

Our eight guest suites, including three sprawling first-floor suites and five distinctive second-floor lofts, can accommodate up to 22 guests on-site.

Guests enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and refreshments at our second floor Captain’s Lounge, access to a tranquil garden courtyard, Bellino Bed & Bath linens, goose down bedding, Casa Posta toiletries, and Mizar & Alcor handwoven robes.

Built in 1851 and once home to a saloon, oyster bar, ship chandler shop, and B&B, Kingston Carriage House has transformed into a serene retreat blending its storied 19th-century origins with modern design. Situated in Kingston’s Historic Waterfront District, the property offers eight distinct accommodations across two buildings, including spacious ground-floor suites and cozy lofts.

Whether you're visiting for a quiet weekend, a group gathering, or a private event, Kingston Carriage House provides a unique setting steeped in history, complete with modern amenities and a welcoming garden courtyard.

The Experience


At Kingston Carriage House, our approach to hospitality is understated yet attentive — offering guests the freedom of self check-in alongside the assurance of round-the-clock support.

While we do not have staff on-site, our dedicated team is available 24 hours a day by phone to assist with anything you may need, from local recommendations to in-room requests. This is our version of elevated, invisible service: gracious, intuitive, and designed to let you unwind on your own terms.

Each Stay Includes:

  • Access to the Captain’s Lounge with complimentary coffee, tea, beverages and board games

  • Light tidies and additional amenities available upon request

  • Convenient parking on Abeel St. and West Union St., with additional public parking just 100 yards away at 127 Abeel St. (at Hone St.)
