The Captain’s House
The Captain’s House at Kingston Carriage House offers a seamless blend of history and modern luxury. This elegant residence features five distinctive guest rooms: the Parlour Suite, Garden Suite, Drawing Loft, Captain’s Loft, and Poet’s Loft. Originally built in 1851, the 19th-century brick structure has lived many lives as a saloon, oyster bar, and ship chandelier shop, now transformed into a sophisticated maritime-inspired retreat. Ideal for group getaways or family stays, guests will enjoy its rich character, luxurious amenities, and proximity to Kingston’s Historic Waterfront District and Rondout Creek.
The Parlour Suite
Located on the first floor, The Parlour Suite was made for entertaining, or for guests seeking a spacious retreat with the luxury of culinary convenience. Sleeping up to two guests in a queen bedroom, the suite also features a sitting room with decorative fireplace, plus a large, light-filled living area with a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests. The full bathroom includes a clawfoot soaking tub and shower.
The Chef’s Kitchen, with private access to the communal garden lounge provides a delightful space for dinner parties and small gatherings.

This thoughtfully designed residence features three distinctive accommodations: the versatile Moto Grand on the first floor, which doubles as an event space or spacious suite, the light-filled Coach Loft and cozy cabin-like Pony Loft on the second floor. The Coach House retains its 19th-century charm while offering all the modern amenities needed for a serene escape.
Guests can rent individual rooms or reserve the entire house for up to six guests, enjoying access to versatile spaces, private entrances, and a communal garden courtyard.
Moto Grand
Nestled on the first floor of our newly renovated Coach House, The Moto Grand is a versatile and playful space. With private access to West Union Street and our Communal Garden Lounge, it’s an ideal setting for relaxation, retreats or entertaining. Designed with flexibility in mind, the expansive barn and garage doors flood the space with sunlight, creating an open-air ambiance that seamlessly blends the interior with the surrounding neighborhood. Inside, you’ll find a large living area featuring two plush sofas, an eclectic mix of vintage and modern artwork, a kitchenette with dining area, and a full bath featuring radiant heated floors, reclaimed wood paneling, and decorative tiles. The Moto Grand comfortably accommodates up to two guests in a convertible Queen Murphy bed.
For events, the space can easily be transformed by rearranging or removing furniture, making it perfect for private dinner parties, wellness retreats, or small intimate gatherings.
