For larger gatherings, you can reserve multiple rooms and suites alongside the Moto Grand.

How many guests does Kingston Carriage House accommodate?
Kingston Carriage House can accommodate up to 22 guests for a full property buyout. If our flexible Moto Grand Room is used as an event or gathering space, the total guest capacity is reduced to 20.
How many buildings are on-site?
Kingston Carriage House comprises two main buildings: The Captain’s House at 85 Abeel Street and The Coach House at 70 West Union Street.
How many guest rooms are on site?
Kingston Carriage House offers a total of 8 distinctive guest rooms. The Captain’s House includes 2 first-floor suites, each with multiple rooms, and 3 second-floor lofts. The Coach House features 1 first-floor accommodation with a flexible first-floor event space, along with 2 luxuriously renovated lofts on the second floor
Do you have common or outdoor areas?
Yes, the property features a 1,500 sq ft Garden Lounge situated between the Captain’s House and Coach House. This space is perfect for intimate ceremonies, cocktail parties, and small gatherings.
Is parking available?
Yes. Public parking is available at 127 Abeel St (at Hone St), just 100 yards from Kingston Carriage House. Street parking is also available on Abeel and West St on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can you host events at Kingston Carriage House?
Absolutely! The entire Kingston Carriage House can be reserved for cocktail parties, corporate events, and family gatherings. Alternatively, 1-3 first-floor suites can be booked for meetings, parties, and smaller gatherings, with the rest of the property available for guest accommodations.
How many guests can attend an event on property?
For events utilizing the entire property without lodging, we can accommodate up to 50 guests across both main buildings. This includes full access to all guest suites and the garden lounge, making it ideal for themed cocktail parties, corporate takeovers, and elaborate installations.
For more intimate gatherings, we recommend The Moto Grand Room and our garden courtyard, which can comfortably host up to 25 guests for seated dinners, small ceremonies, and private events - with lodging for up to 20 guests.
Do you offer event tents for the Garden Lounge for outdoor events?
While we do not offer a tent onsite, tent rentals may be arranged through our partner Events Unlimited and Peak Event Services. All tent rentals must be approved by Kingston Carriage House staff. Our Courtyard can accommodate a 20' X 35' X 8' NTL Frame Tent, White (700 SF).
Can I reserve room blocks?
Yes, you can reserve room blocks with a 50% deposit. A minimum of 4 rooms is required for a room block, and full property buyouts are also available. The 50% deposit will be fully reimbursed once all guests in your party have secured their reservations with their own deposits.
Am I required to book the entire property or individual rooms?
For events, a full buyout of the property is required. Individual guest rooms and blocks of rooms may be booked upon availability.
Is there a minimum stay requirement for groups?
Yes. We require a minimum 2 night stay for all group events and bookings.
When is check-in and checkout time?
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and checkout is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late checkout can be arranged based on availability for an additional fee.
Do you serve breakfast?
Yes, we offer a complimentary light breakfast each morning at 7:30 AM, featuring locally made pastries and baked goods, along with hot coffee and tea.
Do you allow children and pets?
Absolutely! We welcome families with children and dogs in all guest rooms.
Is there Wi-Fi available?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and common areas.
Are the suites equipped with kitchens or kitchenettes?
The Parlour Suite boasts a full chef’s kitchen, while the Garden Suite and Moto Grand include kitchenettes. Additionally, our second-floor communal Captain's Lounge features, a full-size Smeg refrigerator stocked with complimentary beverages and snacks, and amenities like a tea kettle for early risers.
Can you assist with planning itineraries for group stays?
Yes, while we do not offer concierge services or event planning for off-site excursions, our guest services team is happy to provide a detailed list of local attractions, dining, catering, and venue partners for all group bookings. We can share some of our favorite local spots to enhance your stay.
Are there any restrictions on noise or events after certain hours?
Hotel quiet hours are observed between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Please note that no amplified sound equipment is permitted for events without prior approval.
Do you offer tidy services?
Yes, tidy services are available upon request. Please contact our guest services team to schedule a time.
Is the property accessible for guests with disabilities?
The Kingston Carriage House was built in the 1800’s. Consistent with the architecture of the time, there are many steps outside and within the Kingston Carriage House. Please reach out if you have concerns about your mobility and access rooms.
Where is the nearest Train Station?
The nearest train station to Kingston Carriage House is the Rhinecliff-Kingston Station, which is about a 20-minute drive away. Another option is the Poughkeepsie Metro North Station, approximately 30 minutes away, offering more frequent train services. Both stations are serviced by Amtrak, providing convenient access to and from New York City and other major destinations.
Can I bring in outside vendors for events?
Yes, we welcome outside vendors for events. While we have a full list of preferred vendors, you are welcome to choose vendors that best suit your needs

Can you recommend venues within walking minimal distances for intimate gatherings for 20-40 people?
Yes, we recommend The Senate Garage, The Barn at The Hudson River Maritime Museum, Solaris Boat Cruise, Hudson River Cruises, Kingston Boat Co., and Masion Aprés.
